Association of Sickle Cell, Lower Chattahoochee Region is a non-profit organization tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Services.

Mission:

The Mission of the Association of Sickle Cell, Lower Chattahoochee Region is to promote awareness and knowledge about Sickle Cell Disease, educate the community including Sickle Cell Clients and their families and healthcare professionals, and offer Sickle Cell Testing and client referrals to appropriate community resources. The goal of the organization is to provide an optimal quality of life for all those affected by this disease.

Goal: 

To work with medical and social services to improve the care of sickle cell clients in Columbus & West Central Georgia district and to ensure clients a better quality of life.

Adult Sickle Cell Pop Up Clinic

in Columbus, GA

Pop Up Sickle Cell Clinic for Adults

Great News! The New Adult Sickle Cell Pop UP Clinic in Columbus, GA is Going to resume by the first of the year. In 2021 we will have the Sickle Cell Mobile Unit here in Columbus, GA. There will be a Hematologist Dr. Anthony Onyegbula here twice a month from Stockbridge, GA. All adult SC patients in the area are invited to come in and register for services in each facility. Family Practice and Internal Medicine physician services will also be available during the monthly clinic by Dr. Otis Powell of Atlanta.  The new clinic is possible through partnership with the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia, the main funder of the project. An Idea is Born

Please join us on the 4th Tuesday of each month for our Support Group Meetings. If you know someone with Sickle Cell Disease please bring them with you, we welcome new members!  In the event they do not have Sickle Cell Disease and would like to support someone in their family or friends they are welcome as well. Hope
